    Kawi J engine squish clearance?

    Hey,

Assembling a Kawi J engine with MTC 1075 kit. What's the best way to go on squish clearance? I've gotten answers ranging from .030" to .060".

    Thank you for any help.

    Richer Jetting on #2 & #3?

My J engine FCRs were pretty well tuned on a dyno. But the inboard pipes are blueing, and the plugs a bit cleaner than #1 & #4.

I've read of the theory of jetting a bit richer on the inner two for...

Here's my bike. Bought it new in '82. Did 12 flat @ 106mph out of the box -- which was fast at the time.

Here's a sketch of what I saw when I pulled the cam cover. I sent it to the builder and all he would say is it's "not typical". Which to me, along with the performance problems, kind of...

After I saw the cam sprockets, I did an inaccurate measurement to see if timing was significantly off.

I mounted a degree wheel, using the OEM TDC mark. Then,...

    Hi sonicrete,

Do you think the exhaust cam could have moved significantly without hitting a valve? It's from 9.5 to 10.5-to-1 on the pistons, and a .418" lift.

Also, does the fact it runs...
