    Busa Bar Bike Setup

    Just sold my old school bar GSXR1100 and bought a Busa. Could use some advice on setup.
    I'm about 190 Lbs, old rider was about 210.
    He had it set up pretty soft for a marginal surface.
    Bike has a MT 9" tire, C&W chassis, MTC Gen II clutch, Schnitz PSII, Lectron 44's, stock piston and fairly stock motor.
    Bike is currently running 8.98 @ only 141 (91 Chevron pump gas and Sunoco 110 seem to have same results)
    1.29 60ft
    What do you guys recommend for:

    Launch RPM
    Tire pressure
    Fuel
    Shift point
    Gearing (currently has 17 x 58)
    Use 5 or all 6 gears (don't think race cut tranny)
    Timing
    Cam swap (running 2 intake?)
    Oil (is Motul 3000 ok?)
    Plugs

    What elevation are you at ~ have you tried 89 octane ?

    I set aside the race gas and tried some Chevron 91 and saw no difference

    The old owner told me the timing was retarded to run Super Comp so I had it tuned to 38 (it was only 31)

    After I see what that does, I think I will try 89 octane. I hear that's what most people are using on the Gen I motor.

    After that I might lean on the clutch a little, shim the static just a speck, if this doesn't pick up the short time a little on it's own
